Unpack your flowers as soon as possible after arrival, as they'll be thirsty from the trip.

Cut approximately 2–3cm from the base of each stem at an angle.

Trim off any leaves that might otherwise become submerged in the water.

Your arrangement arrives ready to enjoy. Set the hatbox upright on a level, protected surface and remove only the outer delivery packaging.

Leave the flowers and foliage as arranged. Avoid lifting, pulling or repositioning stems.

Place the hatbox on a level, protected surface away from direct sunlight, radiators, draughts and the fruit bowl.

Check the floral foam each day. If it feels dry to the touch, it needs a little water.

Use a small-spouted jug to pour a little clean water between the stems. Let the foam absorb it before adding more; keep petals and the box dry.

Remove fading blooms and loose leaves as needed, taking care not to disturb nearby stems.

Lift the basket out of its delivery box and set it down gently, keeping it upright.

Place the basket on a tray or mat to protect furniture from any moisture.

The stems are set into floral foam. Keep them in place so they remain in contact with their water source.

Touch the foam between the stems each day. Add water when it begins to feel dry.

Pour slowly into the foam, wait for it to absorb, then add a little more if needed. Avoid filling the liner or soaking the wicker.

Set the basket in a cool spot away from direct sunlight, heat, draughts and fruit. Remove fading blooms and yellowing leaves as needed.
